English for Self-Management
Description:
This course is designed to offer techniques and topics for users of English as a foreign language at a level of CEFR B2. As for EFL teachers, this course is designed to show several ideas on adding extra and cross-curricular and multiculture-related topics and activities into their teaching practice. Participants will be given numerous pair-work and group activities mostly based on speaking and writing, including interactive online activities. During the one-week course, participants will meet the host city from a multicultural viewpoint and take an interactive, task-based walk around.
Aims and objectives:
- Developing productive skills in EFL;
- Adding extra-curricular topics to foreign language teaching;
- Creative writing;
- The language (and use of English) of discussions, debates and comments
Learning outcomes:
- Refreshed knowledge of English and EFL-teaching methodology
- Exchange good practices and ideas in teaching
- Interactive task-based activities to show how ideas work in practice
- Being able to discuss contemporary and global issues and finding the appropriate resources
