Understand ways to integrate a powerful mindset into their daily practice and transform the classroom. You’ll learn how to step back, guide from the side, and watch as your learners discover their own hidden strengths and resources. We will focus on how to apply a coaching mindset to manage classroom dynamics with less effort, build learner confidence, and turn resistance into engagement.
This isn’t about throwing out what you already do well; it’s about adding a new layer of skills that develop learner autonomy, build confidence, and turn passive students into active, engaged partners in their own learning journey.
Through practical demonstrations, feedback cycles, and collaborative problem-solving, you will build a toolkit of new skills and insights. Under the guidance of an expert teacher trainer and coach, you will leave with the confidence and the strategies to handle your most challenging classroom moments.
Aims and objectives:
This practical course aims to equip you with a toolkit of techniques that will make your teaching life easier and more effective. Many teachers find themselves in a constant struggle to build motivation in learners who seem lost, lack confidence, or have a ready-made list of excuses for why they can’t progress. It often feels like you’re doing all the work, which can be exhausting and frustrating.
However, by learning to use a simple coaching framework, you can completely change this dynamic. This training will help you find and bring out the hidden potential in your students, empowering them to use their own unique learning strategies and take real ownership of their goals. We will explore practical ways to address resistance and learn techniques for holding learners accountable in a way that feels supportive, not confrontational.
The goal is to decrease your workload by learning how to respond thoughtfully to challenges, creating a more engaging, solution-oriented, and empowering classroom for everyone—including you.

- Teachers who find traditional language teaching activities are NOT what language learners are requesting at the start of course and get put off when encountering it;
- Teachers who wish to create an inclusive, collaborative, and co-creative learning environment and are open to trying out new approaches in their practice;
- Teachers who wish to look at who their learners can be, not what they have been
- Teachers who are keen to view their language learners holistically, not merely based on performance.
- Teachers who want to boost evaluation, assessment, and initial one-to-one or group placement tests.
