This immersive 7-day course empowers educators to enhance their own wellbeing and create positive learning environments. It is all about helping teachers feel better and build stronger classrooms. We will explore mindfulness, try out nature activities, and practice communication skills that actually bring tangible results. Participants will get clearer about what they want, find their creative side, and learn how to bounce back from challenges. Each day includes interactive talks, reflections, outdoor walks, and hands-on exercises, with support for their wellbeing every step of the way.
Description:
This course explores essential well-being practices, combining indoor and outdoor activities, to promote educator self-care and create a positive classroom atmosphere. Through practical communication skills, coaching strategies, and mindful techniques, participants will develop the ability to manage stress, increase focus, and cultivate resilience both personally and professionally.
The course covers key areas such as emotional intelligence, assertive communication, growth mindsets, and the use of nature to enhance creativity and wellbeing. It equips educators with skills, techniques and a renewed approach to their professional role. The course offers a unique blend of theory, outdoor experiences, demonstrations, peer work, and reflective practice.
Aims and objectives:
- To understand the interconnectedness of wellbeing and effective teaching in a modern educational setting.
- To explore a range of well-being and mindful strategies that are adaptable to both indoor and outdoor settings for themselves and their students.
- To build confidence in applying coaching techniques for self-reflection and student support.
- To develop practical communication skills that enhance positive classroom dynamics.
- To explore the benefits of nature connection and sensory awareness for improving wellbeing, presence and focus.
- To promote long-term strategies for self-care, time management, boundary setting, and professional fulfillment.
- To build a growth mindset and creative outlook in both educators and students.
- To develop individual action plans for integrating wellbeing strategies into participant lives and classroom practice.
Learning outcomes:
- Participants will be able to apply wellbeing techniques for enhanced self-care and stress management.

- Participants will be able to utilise a number of approaches to support themselves and their students, by confidently and effectively applying techniques used.

- Participants will create an individual action plan using the knowledge gained from the workshop which they can implement with their students to bring new insights into classroom dynamics.
